About a year ago, I found Heidi's charts and decided to use the student loan + big emergency fund charts as motivation to learn to budget and to start working out that saving muscle....
In one year, me and my family of 4, (on 1 income) was able to finish paying off over 6k student loans and save up 5K emergency fund because of the motivation these charts gave us! I attached them to the wall as a constant reminder of our financial goals. Thank you so much Heidi for creating these charts and making them pretty as well! We still have those charts displayed at home as a constant reminder of the hard work that was put into this but mostly by the reward of accomplishing something so grand in a year. 🤍

I downloaded & I use the debt free color in charts for Credit card debt (done yahooo) the debt free chart (I’m visual so all are helpful).
I had 11 credit cards & loans. I had the 1 with lowest balance on my frig for me & anyone who came over to see. The rest I had in my budget notebook binder. As I paid 1 off, that went in back of binder & newest 1 was on frig.

Before using those I used the starter emergency fund one.
Now that debts are paid off, I have the emergency fund 1 up on frig, Next to the “I am debt free” one fully colored in as a constant reminder of 68K in debt Gone!!
I’m a Dave Ramsey follower but these charts are exactly what I needed to stay organized, motivated & on track!

My oldest just moved near by & I printed them out for her & now she’s starting her debt free journey

Those charts are absolutely fantastic for everyone in my family, myself and my children. My kids are 10 and 12 years old, one of them doesn´t spend anything and used to keep all the money in the jar, and the other one always spends everything she gets.

To see my little ones colouring in the charts and have a visual tracker of how much money they have in their savings accounts is just brilliant. They don´t have much in there, but hopefully it´ll change before they grow up.

Thank your for making these charts free, as a single mum on a tight budget, I appreciate it so much that there are people like you who show us different ways to track our money and who are making us feel less stressed and less things to worry about :-) Thanks!!!

Still serious enough, just like messed up finances are, the charts playfully offer overview, control and a reassuring sense of achievability where life once looked hopeless. Great design and awesome knowledge, highly recommended!

These debt free charts are a game changer for me. I often start my debt-free journey and then get discouraged but being able to color in the squares keeps me motivated to keep going!

I love this chart- and would have happily paid to print it.
I love that there are 1/4 and 1/2 way marks so you know how much more to go... and my kids are able to see why we are putting something's on hold while we "color in the boxes".

It was motivating to be able to color in 2.5 boxes our first month- this will make the Debt Snowball progress visually attainable.

I found out about your debt free charts from the Dave Ramsey show. I came across a Dave Ramsey clip of a couple that just paid off over $100,000 in debt. They spoke about their journey towards financial freedom and the husband mentioned that his wife used a worksheet called “debtris”. She’d color in the blocks when they paid extra towards their debt. The show actually showed the worksheet with all the blocks colored in. I paused the video and took a screen grab. From there, I was able to find your site and was then able to download debtris and a few other worksheets for my other debts (credit card, student loan, and for one each consumer debt). Let’s say I got hooked on your worksheets. I tried creating worksheets on my own without much success, but these were the worksheets I absolutely needed. I like the visuals and being able to color in the blocks as I pay extra towards my debt. They help keep me on track and motivated. I do plan on framing the debris worksheet once I pay off all my debt ($75,000). I want it to be a reminder of what I overcame and won’t ever get myself into again.

These charts are an amazing way to see the progress of debt payments or saving up for something. Thanks for making these available to us.

Super motivating and exciting way to visually keep track of the debts being paid off. Not even just debt, we have ones for different savings goals. We colour in the progress once a month. It's been really helpful turning this into more of a enjoyable experience.

After getting all frustrated about how long and tedious the process of getting rid of all our debts was, I found your charts and when I started coloring them I suddenly realized that the process was not as stagnant as I supposed it was and it gave me a fresh perspective and some hope of actually achieving my goals! I‘m so glad I stumbled upon Heidi‘s wonderful charts. Being 45 I grew up in the analog era and while being a tech aficionado I still tend to lean towards pen & paper first. This made it difficult to keep an eye on my finances with spreadsheet apps or other budgeting apps. I need the first step with writing things down by hand.
Heidi‘s lovely and creatively designed and well thought out charts close the gap for me.
I didn’t print them, though, in order to save paper. What I do is that I use them in my favourite note taking app Defter Notes which supports spatial thinking. Thanks to the charts to tackle my financial situation has become fun and a breeze to do. I‘m still discovering all the possibilities and working with the charts for me is also a way to explore my own creativity and spend some relaxing and meaningful time. A little colour and some digital stickers do a lot to bring joy and I lost my fear of not being able to get out of debts.
Since using Heidi‘s charts I already noticed my buying habits changed for the better, I‘m way more conscious about where the money flows and if I really need a purchase or not.
When I tracked my budget properly with them I later put the numbers into an app to recheck and having like a doubled net.
To me the investment in the charts is worth every penny and I appreciate the love, work and dedication that Heidi put into them. I highly recommend them to everyone who might be a bit like me and I tend to think in order to befriend money it’s a good idea to work with products which help you to feel comfortable and good when dealing with your finances. Sure a simple spreadsheet would be enough but they’re rather boring and intimidating. The Debt Free Charts give me the idea that I‘m in control and that I can take responsibility.
I’m grateful for them and already look forward to buy other charts by Heidi as soon as I can afford them.

I have tried other spending trackers and found that just saying amounts wasn't all that helpful- for me to have to justify my purchases to myself as wants and needs has been helpful in reducing unwanted, unplanned purchases. I can't wait to see how this helps long term!

These charts make it incredibly easy to save money and visibly see your progress in a fun way. There's something about the odd satisfaction of coloring in the last line. Its like putting the last piece in a 5000 piece puzzle. It is also a great of keeping yourself accountable and really discerning between wants and needs. I highly recommend these money saving sheets. These visual charts are amazing! It helps me to see what I am working on financially and how close I am to achieving those goal :) My kids are using them too because when we learn to do things as a family, and they see us track as adults, it helps set the example that through hard work all can be accomplished.
