Ya’ll always are asking me what pens I use for charts. So here they are!
I like the way pastel colors look on my tracking charts, so I'm always on the lookout for a good pastel rainbow markers and colored pencils.
So, let’s jump into the pens that tick off all these boxes!
Crayola Twistables Color Pencils
These are great for all ages and for the budget! Lots of beautiful colors and they apply smoothly. Unlike crayons, they have thin tips great for detailed coloring, but they don't snap off like colored pencils. Plus sharpening the tip is super easy, you just twist the end of it to extend the coloring tip. Highly recommended if you are coloring trackers in the Money Games book as there is absolutely no bleed-through.

Zebra Pen Mildliner
These are my go-to choice for marker coloring and what I get most asked about. Fantastic rich colors, not all are pastel tones, so test first as some are darker than you'd think. The pens are double ended - one end has a chiseled tip great for broad strokes coloring and the other end has a fine bullet tip perfect for coloring in small spaces or writing. I cannot recommend these pens enough!

Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers
These pens have a very "painterly" feel! Double-ended (like the Zebra Pen Midliners) you have two options to color with. One end of the pen has a long flexible tip that colors like a paintbrush, and the other end has a fine tip for detailed coloring.

Zebra Pen Zensations Mechanical Pencils
These colored pencils go on smoothly and to sharpen all you have to do is click the side like a mechanical pencil. The colors are on the softer side, fantastic for layering. Plus thee are triangular meaning they won't roll off the table!
