Some of you may remember my 2024 goal of reading the entire Bible in a year. Well…I did it!
Honestly, it was a lot easier to do than it seems. The Bible looks big, but once you start reading it, you’ll see that reading through the pages goes fast. For example, Psalms is the largest book in the Bible and takes up a lot of pages, but the words read like a poem.
It didn’t even take me a full year to finish the Bible. I started in January and was finished by the end of Spring.
Here’s how I did it.
-
I listened to the audiobook version. This allowed me to turn it on throughout my day and listen to it while gardening or doing things around the house.
-
I tried to get at least an hour of listening time in a day. If you decide to read it for 15 mins a day, then you can totally do it in a year, but if you tune in or read it for an hour, you’ll get farther a lot faster.
-
Tracked my progress with Bible reading trackers. I couldn’t wait to color in more of my tracker and see the page start to fill up. Having it where I could see it reminded me of my goal and to turn on the audiobook whenever I had the chance.
Maybe your goal isn't to read the Bible in a year but just to read it more. I have to admit, listening to the entire Bible gave me an overview of all the stories and messages but my next goal is to take my time and look deeper into certain chapters. And with trackers, you’ll be motivated to commit to this goal.
New goodies added to the Bible Tracker Reading Set to see how much of the Bible you've read, studied, or heard a sermon on!
I added a few new pages to the Bible Reading Set where instead of coloring in physical books with the name on it (ex. Psalms), you can color in the letters of the book name.
As you finish a chapter of a book, you can color in the number for that chapter until the entire book name is colored in.
Make a commitment to reading the Bible daily and possibly reading the entire Bible in a year and get the updated Bible Reading Tracker Set!
